Turbine cutting discs for MOVA LiDAX Ultra Gen 2
Thom Concept plans to study an adaptation of its Turbine cutting discs for the MOVA LiDAX Ultra Gen 2 range, presented by MOVA at IFA 2026. This page follows the project through to validation on the robot.
Compatibility has not yet been confirmed. Our currently available MOVA discs are not advertised as compatible with the second generation.
A new generation requiring separate checks
MOVA presents the LiDAX Ultra Gen 2 series with an integrated UltraTrim 3.0 edge-cutting system. The main cutting plate interface, clearances and space around the edge-cutting system must be examined before defining an adaptation.
The LiDAX Ultra name alone does not establish compatibility between generations. Exact supported model references, the number of discs and the contents of the set will be specified after inspection.
The current MOVA Turbine Disc as a starting point
Our Turbine Disc for MOVA 600/1000, ViAX and LiDAX Ultra provides a design and visual reference. It combines a finned disc with a disc cover to address grass build-up and maintenance around the cutting area.
The image shows this existing version. It does not show a validated Gen 2 disc. The dimensions, fasteners, blades and rotational behaviour of the future version still need to be checked. No improvement in cutting, airflow or service life is claimed before testing.
Planned development steps
- Examine the robot: identify the exact version and measure its original components.
- Study the adaptation: check fasteners, blade travel and clearances around the cutting systems.
- Check a prototype: verify fit, clearances, balance and rotation.
- Carry out tests: observe cutting, grass build-up and maintenance before commercial validation.
These steps are planned and have not yet been carried out on Gen 2. Results, photographs and fitting information will be added to this page when available.

Can I fit my current MOVA disc to a LiDAX Ultra Gen 2?
Compatibility has not been confirmed. Wait for validation of your robot’s exact model before using an existing disc on Gen 2.
Does the project also cover the UltraTrim edge disc?
The exact scope will be defined after examining the robot. No replacement part for the edge-cutting system is announced at this stage.
Does this include LiDAX Ultra AWD models?
This page concerns the LiDAX Ultra Gen 2 range. Existing LiDAX Ultra AWD models have their own compatibility list; that list does not automatically apply to Gen 2.
How many discs, blades and screws will be included?
The exact contents, compatible blades and any options will be specified after validation. The reference image does not represent the contents of a future pack.
